A Letter To My Daughter With A Thin Body
You are more than a girl who is thin. I know that it delights you when others comment about how thin you are. They don't know how their comments about your body also make you fearful.
Fearful that you will gain weight and that the compliments will stop. Fearful about eating. Bodies are meant to change in shape. Having a thin body is not an accomplishment.
You are MORE than a girl who is thin.
History does not remember a woman for being thin. You are meant to do great things. Perhaps you will be the one who will solve global warming or antibiotic resistance. That would be pretty damn hard to do if you spend most of your time worrying about food and your weight.
So go forth my child, do great things and make your mark in history!
